This January, the first reporting cycle for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will come into play. With more than 50,000 companies with an EU presence affected by these new regulations, we wanted to provide clearer guidance on what may be expected of your business and why.
On Thursday 6th March from 15:30-16:15 (GMT), our Senior Consultant Kat Rowland will be hosting our first Fit for the Future webinar by delving into the CSRD to help you get up to speed on the requirements and how you can achieve compliance.
The CSRD will be phased in over the next few years, so it’s important to know the ins and outs to make sure you avoid penalties, ESG rating downgrades and risks to your reputation. It’s also important to be held accountable for the sustainability of your operations – that’s the whole point of the directive!
Kat has helped numerous clients through review processes to ensure adherence to legislation like this, so she’s the person to ask about the directive and everything it entails.
During the webinar, she will cover:
- How CSRD replaces and is different from the Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD)
- Whether CSRD applies to your company
- An update on delays to the implementation of first sector-specific reporting standards
- An update on whether CSRD reporting requirements may change due to the Omnibus Simplification Package
- Timelines for CSRD reporting and what you must report on
- How to prepare for and undertake a double materiality assessment
- What the likely penalties will be if you fail to meet requirements
- Next steps you need to take
There will also be time to ask Kat any questions you might have.
This is a great opportunity to clear up any confusion and get your business on the right track regarding your CSRD obligations.
This is the first in our new series of Fit for the Future webinars. These are designed to provide clear guidance to help you stay aware of upcoming sustainability legislation and how it may affect your business.
