We have appointed Sydnee Grushack as the newest member of our New York office and recruited seven new consultants in the UK to meet growing demand for our services
Sydnee, who joins us as an Environmental Consultant, will be delivering waste management, resource efficiency and energy projects, working with public and private sector clients in the US. Sydnee has previously worked as a project manager for both IBM and North Hempstead’s Office of Sustainability, where she developed a municipal energy conservation program, led the town-wide effort to ban plastic bags, and implemented a ‘no-idling’ policy. She also managed recycling programs in 49 schools, and co-authored Atlanta’s 2010 Sustainability Plan. Sydnee holds a master’s degree in business administration from New York University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Emory University.
We opened our New York office, registered in the US as Eunomia Research and Consulting Inc., in June 2017. The expansion of our New York team is to meet growing demand for its expertise, especially the waste and organics sector, alongside interest in our industry-leading knowledge of the implementation of deposit refund schemes, known as bottle bills in the US. We recently delivered presentations at the largest waste and resources conference in the US, SWANA’s WASTECON, on the subjects of marine litter and organics collections drawing from its work in New York City. We also put together a thought-leadership video series, to coincide with the event, focused on the circular economy – an area in which we have advised industries and governments on across Europe.
Sydnee said:
“Eunomia is exactly what I was looking for – an organization that uses expertise and innovation to tackle some of the largest issues facing our world today. I am looking forward to working with the top thinkers in environmental consulting to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients across sectors. The US is ready for progressive change and Eunomia is well-primed to deliver it. I am excited to be a part of it!”
Sydnee will be working closely with the head of our New York office, Sarah Edwards. Sarah said:
“Sydnee’s previous experience at IBM, as well as in the Mayors’ Office of Sustainability in Atlanta, prepare her for her role delivering waste management, resource efficiency, and energy projects on behalf of Eunomia’s growing public and private sector customers. Sydnee is an important appointment to Eunomia Inc., demonstrating its commitment to drive positive, sustainable environmental change in North America.”
In the UK, our Bristol office is welcoming four new Trainee Consultants including Kathryn Firth, Hannah Gillie, Jack Hedger and Rosy Scholes, while our London office has appointed Sean Hollowed as Trainee Consultant and Tessa Lee as a Junior Consultant. Hannah Crompton also joins our Manchester office as a Trainee Consultant. These appointments come as a result of growing demand for our services across the UK, Europe and elsewhere.
We now have six offices around the world, and employ 84 staff.
