Join us for a live online session hosted by sustainability consultancy Eunomia and packaging innovation agency Touch, where we’ll explore how packaging minimisation and source reduction can go beyond compliance to unlock commercial value and future-proof packaging strategies.

In this session, we’ll demonstrate how leading organisations are approaching packaging reduction in line with new legislation such as the EU’s PPWR, California’s SB 54, and wider Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

Drawing on Eunomia’s experience supporting the development of the EU’s PPWR, setting source reduction targets through Needs Assessments, building strategies to reduce plastic packaging for businesses, and helping organisations navigate an evolving packaging policy landscape, this session will provide practical, actionable insights you can apply within your own business.

Register now to find out how your business can turn regulatory compliance into an opportunity to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

About packaging minimisation and source reduction

Packaging minimisation, or source reduction, is a key aspect of new packaging legislation such as the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and EPR in the U.S. including California’s SB 54.

Packaging minimisation requires businesses to reduce packaging weight, volume, and number of components to the minimum necessary for product protection and functionality. By eliminating unnecessary materials, organisations can reduce resource consumption and lower carbon emissions associated with manufacturing and transport, as well as reduce packaging waste.

As regulations come into force, organisations that fail to address unnecessary packaging may face increased compliance risks and potential enforcement action.

As a result, many organisations are looking for opportunities to comply with the new rules and improve the sustainability of their packaging, all without compromising product protection, brand experience, or commercial performance.
