Two of our Senior Consultants Harriet Parke and Emma Tilbrook have won a 35 under 35 award, part of a programme organised by letsrecycle.com in partnership with Grundon, which identifies ‘young guns’ in the sector who are striving for professional excellence, promoting industry innovation and giving back to their company, local authority or community.
Harriet, based in our Bristol office, joined Eunomia in 2013 as a Junior Consultant and is now a Senior Consultant, managing Eunomia’s work on markets and infrastructure, as well as managing procurement projects and strategy developments. She has played a pivotal role in the RDF Industry Group which formed in 2015, managing the secretariat function of the group, and authoring the RDF Report and the Code of Practice.
Harriet also regularly writes for Eunomia’s environmental blog Isonomia, winning blog of the year in 2017 with her blog Period of adjustment: the case for reusable feminine hygiene products written with colleague Katherine Blacklaws. They have since been interviewed by global network ‘Be Waste Wise’ on the subject.
Harriet is also an ambassador for food waste re-distribution charity FoodCycle, having run the Bristol hub for four years. She is currently advising Bristol Food Network on their Food Waste Reduction Strategy as they work towards becoming a ‘gold’ Sustainable Food City.

Emma Tilbrook is based in our London office and has over 10 years’ experience of working with local authorities to deliver waste and recycling services across England and Wales.
Emma’s commitment to delivering real operational change within the industry, has led her to successfully manage the mobilisation and subsequent service changes of four waste and recycling collection operations for the private sector and most recently in partnership with LB Hounslow and their Local Authority company Lampton 360 – a project that has since been shortlisted for three awards, including in the Best use of design and technology in a waste management facility category in the www.letsrecycle.com Awards for Excellence.
Outside of her work in operations and service implementation, Emma has previously worked for WRAP, providing local authority support across England and Wales. Her unique ability to be able to strategically design services, manage and engage with stakeholders, whilst always keeping an eye on how a scheme will work on the ground has made the work she does invaluable to her clients.
On being one of the 35 under 35 Emma said:

All of the finalists have demonstrated that they are up for the challenge of steering the waste and resources sector forward over the coming decades and it’s fantastic to be named amongst such as talented group of individuals”
