On the 8th April 2019 we celebrated the launch of our South East Europe Office, headquartered in Athens, Greece.
The drinks and canape celebration took place at Aegli Zappiou in Athens, and was opened by the Greek Minister of Environment and Energy, Sokrates Famellos, who welcomed us to Greece. William Neale, Advisor on Circular Economy and Growth at DG Environment, then spoke briefly on our work at a European level, and officially welcomed our new operation.
Our Chairman Dominic Hogg and our Head of South East Europe, Hara Xirou, each discussed the work we are already undertaking across the area, and highlighted the action that needs to be undertaken to move towards a circular economy both in Greece and further afield.
Hara Xirou, the Head of Eunomia’s South East Europe operation, said:
“It was fantastic to receive so much support for the launch of our new office, and to see so much enthusiasm for our work from all of our guests. We already have a series of exciting projects under way in the region, supporting everything from reducing single use plastics to improving waste management systems, part of the transition to a more circular economy.”
Our Chairman and founder, Dr Dominic Hogg, said:
“The launch of our Greek office marks a key moment in the growth of Eunomia, and it was a pleasure to share our celebrations with our distinguished guests. We are keen to work with regional and national governments, businesses and organisations to maximise the potential of the work already being done in South East Europe, and look forward to contributing our expertise to support the development of a circular economy across the region.”
We are currently delivering a variety of high-profile pan-European projects.
