We had a great night at The Green Business Awards. We sponsored the main award – Green Business of the Year, which our CEO Jonquil Hackenberg presented to Mitie – congratulations to them.
The awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 12 June at The Brewery in Farringdon, London, bringing together over 550 top green business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and campaigners for a gala ceremony to celebrate the UK’s best and brightest green businesses, projects, and initiatives.
Across 29 categories, the awards covered the full breadth of a green economy that is more critical than ever to the UK’s competitiveness, rewarding the most inspiring renewables, energy efficiency, and circular economy projects of the year, as well as the most exciting marketing campaigns, small businesses, and innovations. Individuals and teams were also recognised with awards for the Rising Star, Entrepreneur, Sustainability Executive, and Green Business Leader of the Year.
As the recipient of the “Politician of the Year” Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan said (and we are paraphrasing) the route to economic growth starts with the Green Economy and the route to social justice starts with Green Economy. We could not agree more.
