Guidance on Procuring Waste Services for Public Bodies and their Contractors

This guidance document is designed to help public bodies how procurement practice can be used to prevent waste they produce or collect from getting into the hands of waste criminals.

This guidance was  commissioned by Zero Waste Scotland and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, and was based on consultation with stakeholders across Scotland. The guidance aims to be relevant and easy to use, whether for local authorities contracting for municipal waste treatment and disposal, or for other public bodies buying in waste collection services.
