This video is a recording of the third of three Fire Prevention Plan webinars presented by Eunomia during March 2017.
In this session, Peter Jones puts questions to Eunomia planning and permitting expert Sophie Crosswell and waste operations senior consultant Emma Tilbrook, with the aim of explaining how to make a fire prevention plan a genuinely useful document to support site operations. They discuss a range of issues including:
- how to train staff to use a FPP;
- building fire prevention into site design;
- managing material on site; and
- balancing risk mitigation and cost.
Emma has been working with a local authority to design a new waste site for their service, and has collaborated closely with the fire service to produce a FPP for submission to the regulator, while Sophie has been delivering training on fire prevention planning across Wales.
