We are delighted to announce the appointment of industry leader, Jeffrey Crawford, as an Executive Director for our North American operations. He will support the development of the business, building on current successes to expand the breadth of our service capacity to clients.

Jeff joins us from BSR – a corporate sustainability consulting firm and business network – where he acted as Director, leading its Government and Foundations Practice and serving as a member of its Climate and Executive Leadership teams. A specialist in the development of corporate partnership and public policy solutions to sustainability challenges, Jeff is adept at aligning corporate philanthropy with sustainability strategies, designing collaborative supply chain initiatives and setting ambitious targets to tackle climate, waste, circularity and economic issues.

Speaking about his new role, Jeff said:
“In the face of the climate crisis, I’m excited to be joining such an influential and impactful sustainability consultancy at this crucial time, both in terms of the growth of the business and the increasing awareness within North America of the need to tackle sustainability issues head-on. Eunomia’s leading role technically advising the EU, governments and major companies on circular economy and plastics policies and strategies make it an exciting place to be, and I’m looking forward to bringing their unique expertise in these areas to support North American businesses and governments to effect meaningful change.”

Through the course of his career, Jeff has advised governments and companies on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate and sustainability strategies and policies. He has also led the design of over $120 million of innovative corporate and public sector sustainability projects for multiple organizations including five UN agencies, governments and NGOs. As well as managing the publication of the UN’s first Global Sustainable Development report, he has authored many other UN publications including: Climate-Smart Trade and Investment in Asia and the Pacific, Green Tax & Budget Reform, and Low Carbon Green Growth: Integrated Policy Approach to Climate Change.

Sarah Edwards, CEO of Eunomia’s North America operations, said:
“Our North America operations have seen rapid growth in the past eighteen months. Corporations and governments are recognizing, partly as a result of consumer and constituent pressure, that we can no longer live a life that uses resources with such a disregard for our planet. Eunomia is at the forefront of developing circular business models and policies that allow business and communities to grow while respecting the environment. Our experience in this area is being increasingly recognized and is why we’re excited to have Jeff on board to help make sure our work is as impactful as possible in the years to come. We’re looking forward to expanding our portfolio of work across the continent, drawing from Jeff’s years of experience making real-world change in this area.”

Jeff holds an M.A. in International Relations with a focus in economics from the International University of Japan and a B.B.A. in Marketing from Georgia State University. He is trained in, and knowledgeable of, many corporate sustainability reporting frameworks and standards including GRI, TCFD, SASB, IR and CDP.
