Dan has more than 25 years’ consultancy experience working on circular economy, resource efficiency and waste prevention projects for public and private sector clients. He regularly works with industrial, construction and manufacturing operations, using his deep technical knowledge and skills to improve processes, procedures and operations.

As a technical delivery leader and consultant, Dan helps clients move towards more resource-efficient business models that extend product life, conserve resources and prevent materials from becoming waste. He is an expert in identifying opportunities for dematerialisation, increased durability, modularity, refurbishment, remanufacture and reuse – all central to the goal of resource efficiency.

Dan has delivered a wide range of reviews in the manufacturing, commercial, energy and utilities sectors, applying his consulting expertise to review site activities, identify opportunities and make recommendations for improvements.

By focusing on waste prevention and valorisation reviews and implementation support, data analysis, feasibility studies, hotspot analysis, product design and process improvements, he has helped clients achieve savings of millions of pounds on waste, water and energy. This has also led him to develop a range of good-practice tools, case studies and practical guides designed to help organisations improve their resource efficiency.
