About Andy

With significant experience and expertise in waste operations management, reprocessing, waste collection logistics, waste procurement, sorting facilities and technical appraisals, Andy is in demand as a consultant to local authorities and recycling enterprises worldwide. He has worked for clients in China, the USA and Europe as well as the UK.

In one recent project, Andy acted as technical advisor for Ball Packaging, helping them to develop an ambitious pathway towards net zero for the aluminium can. This involved reviewing a business-as-usual pathway and then developing scenarios to 2030, 2040 and 2050 for Europe, North America and South America. Eunomia developed a recycling roadmap for the can, established mass flow of cans from waste to new products and identified the policies and new technology needed to realise these scenarios.

Andy has also directed projects to redesign waste management facilities for Cardiff City Council; helped Tomra to understand and apply the capabilities of packaging marking technologies; and managed research into Digital Deposit Refund Schemes.
