At Eunomia, our future success depends on supporting our people in growing, developing, and building meaningful careers. That’s why we’re excited that over 100 employees have now completed the first phase of a new career development programme.

The Eunomia Career Pathways and Competency Framework, launched in November 2025, is a new initiative designed to support the Eunomia team in acquiring the skills needed to progress on their chosen career path, whilst offering clarity, consistency, and confidence around career development and progression.

A core working group of representatives from across the business designed the Career Pathways programme before our Learning and Development Business Partner, Sally Robinson, delivered in-person training sessions in Bristol, London, Manchester, and New York, as well as virtual sessions for remote colleagues.

The new framework focuses on three competencies, including leadership, technical and client delivery, and commercial acumen, developed to reflect our business needs and the diverse roles across Eunomia – including support functions and consultants in the circular, low carbon, and natural economy teams.

Commenting on the development of the framework, Sally said: “Before wider roll‑out, we piloted the framework through testing and feedback, enabling continuous improvement and ongoing collaboration with a diverse group of business stakeholders. This process helped refine the new programme to ensure it is genuinely useful for the whole team.

“The result is a shared framework that supports clearer expectations at each career level, more structured and meaningful development conversations, greater consistency across teams and locations, and stronger transparency in progression and performance.

“We’re looking forward to seeing how this new initiative helps employees take the next step in their careers.”

Circular Economy Consultant Simon Hann, a key stakeholder in the programme’s development, added: “I was keen to ensure our new career pathways framework valued technical excellence as well as leadership, and what we’ve put together does this well. Technical skills are the foundation of what we do, but this framework needs to account for the diverse strengths and skills we need across the business to succeed. I’m looking forward to seeing the impact it has.”

CEO Mike Bell commented: “This new programme will play a key role in strengthening the talent, leadership, and long-term career growth across Eunomia. I’m delighted that we’ve received so much positive feedback to date.”
