Scope 3 emissions, which stem from the supply chain and other indirect sources, can represent a significant portion of an organisation’s environmental impact. Accurate reporting of these emissions is essential to realise local climate commitments alongside organisational net zero goals.
However, according to the 2024 Local Government Association Climate Change Survey, while 92% of local authorities report on Scope 1 and 2 emissions, only 67% include Scope 3 in these reports. With only five years left for those who have committed to net zero by 2030 targets, time is running out to measure and reduce Scope 3 emissions.
To ensure your organisation is better equipped to manage its wider carbon footprint, join our live webinar on Tuesday 27th March 15:30-16:15 (BST), where our Low Carbon Economy Lead, Charlie Leaman-Pearce, will explore how you can get to grips with this complex area of carbon accounting.
